Install WordPress

WordPress is easier. First I create the WordPress database. Again I start mysql with mysql -u root -pLovelace and give the command:

create database wordpress;

I install some helpers:

sudo apt-get install php5-gd libssh2-php

I go into the html directory and download the latest WordPress release. I extract it, it will default go to the directory wordpress. I put in my own wp-config.php where the database settings are pointing to my WordPress database. And finally I tell that apache2 is group owner for the files. To do all this I use the script

pushd /var/www/html
tar zxvf latest.tar.gz
mkdir wordpress/wp-content/uploads
cp wp-config.php /var/www/html/wordpress/wp-config.php
sudo chown -R :www-data /var/www/html/wordpress

Everything should be working now, and Drupal and WordPress can be accessed from Otherwise I look into verification to find out what is broken.
